The Difference Between TIG and MIG Welding

Metal Inert Gas or MIG welding uses a continuously feeding wire, while Tungsten Inert Gas or TIG welding utilizes long welding rods and slowly feed them into a weld puddle. Both of them, however, use an electric arc to create the weld.

MIG welding is a simple and straightforward process that’s easier to learn compared to TIG welding.

When it comes to time, MIG welding is the quickest way to put down welds because of its use of a continuously feeding electrode.
